DeckOne's industrial inspiration draws from over 30 years of television and movie production design, concept art, and illustration. While sketching Bat Mobiles and Colonial Viper space ships as a kid in the 70's, Homer dreamed of designing props and ships for TV shows and movies.
"I wanted the back design to appear heavy - like the giant otherworldly machines they depicted. For the case, I created the look of worn, military grade, black stamped steel by using thick metallic stock and subtle printing and embossing effects."

It started with an idea born 30,000 feet in the air. On a flight back to New York City from Magic-Con, theory11 ceo Jonathan Bayme made a quick sketch on his iPhone. Less than 24 hours later, the concept was sent to Hatch, an industry leading design firm in San Francisco, California that produces illustrations for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Starbucks, and Target.
Over the months that followed, we refined the concept with illustrations prepared specifically for the deck after hundreds of pages of research on the history of magic, hermeticism, secret societies, and mythology. The result is jaw dropping - unlike anything you have ever seen before.

Every element of the deck was designed from the ground up-- the back design, the Ace of Spades, the Joker, and the box design are all new. Even the royal card design was slightly altered in coloration to better fit the vibe of the new deck.
On the production end, theory11 worked hand-in-hand with the US Playing Card Company's research and development team to ensure unsurpassed quality and handling. The result: perfection. The feel of the Bicycle Centurions rivals or exceeds all past decks produced, employing a number of innovations to achieve incomparable strategic result.
